- Rehearse brief, kind, clear communication—letters you may never send, and some you might.
- Create a two-path plan: Repair Readiness or Peaceful Acceptance (for now), so your life isn’t on pause.
- Track your progress with simple, repeating practices that strengthen over time.
We honor autonomy—yours and your adult child’s. No coercion, no chasing. Just steady, season-by-season work that moves you from the winter of uncertainty toward the possibility of spring.
Is This Therapy?
No. The Silent Season is coaching + education + skills practice + structured peer support. We don’t diagnose, treat, or provide clinical therapy—and we’re not a crisis service or legal/medical advice.
What this is:
- Psychoeducation (attachment, boundaries, grief, communication)
- Somatic regulation tools you can use in real time
- Scripts, role-plays, and letter clinics to build confidence
- A moderated, trauma-informed community with clear agreements
What this is not:
- Psychotherapy, EMDR, or medication management
- Crisis stabilization or emergency care
- A guarantee of reconciliation
- Legal or medical advice, evaluations, or documentation for court
We collaborate beautifully with therapists
Bring yours; with your consent, we’ll coordinate so therapy can process the deeper layers while coaching helps you practice day-to-day skills. Think of therapy as the physical therapist for the injury, and this program as the gym where you safely build strength between sessions. If you’re in acute crisis or unsure you can stay safe, please seek immediate local support first (e.g., emergency services or a national crisis line). Once you’re stable, we’ll be here to welcome you into the work.
